I’ve been nominated for a Liebster Award!
First off, a big thank you to my fellow bloggers who nominated me: The Well-Red Mage, and pine717 at The Maximum Utmost, and hungrygoriya!
The Liebster Award is by bloggers for bloggers. The award is a great way to “pay it forward” in the blogging community, encouraging us bloggers to keep discovering others in the wide world of the interwebs.
The rules: the nominee thanks (and links to) the bloggers who nominated them, answers their 11 questions, and then nominates other bloggers to answer a new set of questions!
As The Well-Red Mage asked first, I’ll go ahead with the questions below –
1) DC or Marvel? (first and foremost)
Why not an easy one to start?! I honestly don’t think it’s an either-or. DC as I’m a big Batfan. Marvel for Spidey and how good a job they’re doing with the cinematic universe.
2) Favorite console?
Nintendo 64. Super Mario 64, not one but two great Zeldas, GoldenEye, Mario Tennis, all with that fancy new analog controller – total class.
3) Favorite video game?
Another difficult one! Can’t pick one: Sensible Soccer, Half-Life 1 & 2, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, Link’s Awakening, Super Mario 64.
4) Favorite character or franchise that needs a comeback?
Dune
5) Favorite film?
The Godfather and The Godfather Part II. Tom Hanks explains why Godfather is “the sum of all wisdom”:
6) Favorite book?
Deliverance by James Dickey (also a great movie). And: Dune!
7) Favorite non-gaming pastime?
Running
8) Favorite thing about blogging and your blogging goals? (two for the price o’ one!)
Discovering great bloggers – the blogs I’ve been following have featured some great writing, and obvious care for video games. Goals? To keep following other folks’ blogs on WordPress!
9) Favorite thing you find most inspiring in life?
Anything to do with science really – I find things like the Rosetta mission landing on that comet, or the recent discovery of gravitational waves, inspiring and fascinating.
10) What can The Well-Red Mage blog do to improve? (shameless, hehe)
Increase the font size maybe? You’re doing an awesome job!
11) What’s a game you think I should review?
Majora’s Mask! This needs an analysis like the one you did for Shadow of the Colossus.
And my nominees are…
Mr. Wapojif and team at Professional Moron
Matthew Thompson at The Triple Option
The Night Owl at The Late Night Session
Stevie Gill at The Cake is a Lie
Chris Hodges at The Chi-Scroller
Ellie Patten at Blogging for Dopamine
And your questions, should you choose to accept them!
1) Favorite video game – and why?
2) Star Wars or Star Trek?
3) James Bond or Jason Bourne?
4) Favorite food?
5) If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why?
6) What did you want to be when you grew up?
7) Why did you start blogging?
8) How did you come up with the name of your blog?
9) What do you enjoy most about blogging?
10) What is your favorite article that you’ve written? (links please!)
11) What is the most important life lesson you’ve ever learned?
Cheers everyone!
I fully agree with a Majora’s Mask review and analysis. I’ve heard some very interesting and quite disturbing ones already. I think MM may be my favorite Zelda game, because I’m a lover of dark things.

Thanks for nominating my blog! I love your answers to the questions too, and I totally agree about Dune. I’ve always wanted to see a really well-done Dune movie.

Thanks for the nomination! It’s a great to know that fellow bloggers appreciate what we do. I’m hoping to get my co-blogger Grocs to join in on a response too when he is free to help out. 🙂

Pleased to see you mention Digitiser in your favourite websites, by the way. Man, I remember reading that from 1993 to 2003! One specific moment sticks out – eating my cornflakes one morning before school and stopping to bask in the staggering weirdness of the Man diary. Happy memories.

Digi was (and still is) utterly brilliant and bonkers. Reading Digitiser was a post-school/college ritual for me. And!
